Setting up a Remote Dongle Server for V-Ray

“I mentioned this tip on Twitter but I think it’s important enough to mention on here again. If you’re a V-Ray user, there’s no doubt you get a bit paranoid about losing your dongle, especially when out in public. The good news is that there is a way to get around always carrying that with you, as long as you have a machine you can use as a dedicated dongle server that can be accessed from the outside via a VPN or just by setting up a forwarded port (30304) to your machine with static IP. If you don’t have a static IP, look into setting up a dynamic DNS service that runs a daemon that updates your machine’s IP with a static hostname.” – Dave Girard
