I just find this sort of data really interesting. I'm a bit of a data geek. Also, this makes me feel completely insignificant. I am one of 1.7 billion, and so are you.

I love these videos. So full of great information, flying at you a million miles per minute. The info graphics are lots of fun and it's one you'll want to watch a couple of times. Be sure to watch the HD.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Big and Chunky Video

Fun text animations and CGI for the new Dreamworks film Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa Big and Chunky Video

My friend Dru Nget worked on the video, but didn't mention that part to me for quite a while! Here is the press release about the project.

(November 18, 2008; Los Angeles) Entertainment design and branding studio, Shine, has conceived, designed and produced two music videos for Dreamworks Animation's new film, "Madagascar 2: Escape 2 Africa". The music videos were created for use on MTV.com, Nickelodeon, and as bonus features with the movie's soundtrack which was released by Interscope Records. They are also being used as viral marketing videos online.

The video ideas were conceived by Shine. The character animation was created by the in-house team of animators at Dreamworks Animation, and were used throughout each piece. Shine edited the characters together, created custom graphic animated environments and backgrounds, and integrated it all together to make original music videos for each featured song. The songs were written and performed by the Interscope Records artist Will.i.Am.

ABOUT SHINE. Shine is a creative design and production studio specializing in branding and storytelling for the entertainment and advertising industries.
